Breaking the Silence

In this short film, made with the help of the Center for Digital Storytelling in Berkeley, California, sociilogist Tony Platt draws upon an experience of personal loss to make a statement about public amnesia. “Breaking The Silence” calls upon the University of California, Berkeley, to take responsibility for its collection of 10,000 Native American remains, unethically excavated during the 20th century.
